River Run Restaurant in Racine

My family has been coming here every Sunday morning for the last 30 years. The owners and staff are friendly and fun. They make everyone feel like they're part of the family. Prices are exceptional and the food is even better. I'll be going here for three next thirty years as well.

In the area today doing a job with husband & thought we'd try this place out. Excellent food and AMAZING service!!! Its a must try. Great atmosphere! Will come here again when we're in Racine. Thank you!

Ordered a New York strip "Steak" got a pork steak.... owner then brings out raw meat tht he said was used and clearly was pork yet claimed it was beef..

Food is below average at best. Delivery was fast and driver courteous hince my 2 stars. I have never, in my 43 years and in my many places of travel, ordered a Mexican omelette and not have it come with chorizo sausage. So what makes it Mexican? Pancakes were not fluffy. More like wet or spongy. Arabian crepes were just plain with what looked like peaches and strawberries dumped from a can on top. Anyone who likes this food must be used to food like this. Should've taken our money and hunger to The Rooster or Denny's or Sausage Kitchen or my stove. Just don't do it.

Good food fast service

Fish fry was ok.it was a little greasy but tasted freshly battered. The potato pancakes were excellent and a must try. Service was friendly and the place was clean. We will go back.

I meet with a group of believers once a week and we get good breakfasts at very reasonable prices. The service is good and waitresses are friendly and remember food and drink preferences of the various customers.

Excellent Service. This is an older family owned restaurant. Great prices. It you are looking for something fancy this is not the right restaurant.

My husband loves there fish fry.

Hostess and server were pleasant however this restaurant is below standard. The silverware was dirty (1 set I could understand but 3 pair was odd - so it was obviously an issue). There was an odd taste to the food served and when questioning it (which is not common for my family but this was really bad) we were confronted by the cook/owner of the restaurant. We simply requested a different meal and were basically yelled at by the cook that we discovered was the owner. Not only was it awkward (my husband left the restaurant and waited while my daughter and I finished our meals), this owner yelled at the server to "get out" loud enough for us all to hear. She was simply trying to assist us with the meal issue and he was attempting to fire this poor lady that was just trying to do her job. Not a good experience and we would never dine there again.

Good food and nice staff. Thanks for a hardy breakfast after church. We visited on our multiple state motorcycle road trip and the staff was amazing and helpful as well as very knowledgeable. Thanks for the great memories.

Awesome Breakfast and quick service for 15 people.

We ordered their Country fried chicken breast breakfast and biscuits and gravy. The quality of the chicken breast was good. Our meals could have been decent if we had a sweet tooth. The gravy is sweet. Who puts sugar in gravy?

Good cheap diner type food. Tons of menu choices.

The River Run Restaurant made me want to run for the river. The food was not good, my biscuits and sausage gravy tasted like rotten chicken and dumplings, the crepes were watery, the omelettes were below average. Everything else was in the same category meaning it should be feed to the street dogs. On the other hand their hot chocolate was very good, probably one of the best I’ve ever had and the service was warming. So if you want to spin the roulette wheel and take your chances of getting food poisoning this is the restaurant for you.

This is a great place to go with the family. It is very cheap for the amount you get and it feels like your in a small town.

Fantastic family restaurant! The staff and food was phenominal. The prices are incredibly cheap and the quality and portions are wonderful! We went here blindly after a very long drive, and we loved it so much, we went back for breakfast the next morning.

Pretty good food, not the best but not worst. I can't say that I would return but also it's not a place I would refuse to return to either. It would need to be convenient I guess to return but all in all I would say this is an average family restaurant. Could use updating of both decor and the menu. It is located by a very busy intersection so outdoor seating would be of zero help in my opinion. Again not horrible, if you are looking for an average place to attend this interview would put in that category

Eh it's okay I guess. Not the best of foods. Could use an upscale all around. Building from floor to ceiling is run down. Plates and things are all old. Service is good. Great majority of group is seniors.

Always perfect! Honest, to tell the truth, it's better than my cooking. Or my Mothers. I like that there is dessert included as well as salad or soup with the entree. You never feel that you leave there with something missing!

Great local place if you would rather skip the chain restaurants. The food is always great there, and the prices are reasonable. A breakfast favorite for many!

By far the best potatoes pancakes in the tri-state area. Good old fashioned food, great service. Who could ask for anything else.
